Warframe is a third-person free-to-play RPG from Digital Extremes. The stealth and shooting game first opened in 2013 for Microsoft Windows and is now in the open beta stage. The game was greeted with mixed reviews initially, but with game revisions and community support, the game has since grown. It is available for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One and is scheduled to be ported for Playstation 5 along with the Xbox X series sometime soon. Our today’s guide is focused on using the Forward Artillery in Warframe.
The gameplay features ‘Tenno,’ they are an ancient warrior species that has awoken from cryosleep to find themselves in the distant future. In this universe, there are various opposing factions like the Corpus, the Grineer, the Infested, and the Sentients who are at war with each other. Players traverse across the universe, taking up missions and side quests to earn rewards and advance through the game. In Warframe, crewships are equipped with advanced weapons that are capable of intercepting and engaging in aerial combat against enemies. The Railjack is a perfect example of such a crewship. It can deliver significant damage using twin-mounted nose turrets, forward artillery, and even an armor-piercing forward artillery cannon. The Railjack provides a team co-op experience as a full-time crew of 4 are required to manage and navigate it successfully.

How to Use Forward Artillery in Warframe?
The Forward Artillery is an example of a good weapon onboard a Railjack. Even though it doesn’t have the most impressive charge, it can pierce through enemy armor and other ships with its destructive energy beam. However, getting access to this weapon isn’t as simple as it seems.
In order to use the forward artillery weapon, players first have to attain Number 5 rank in Gunner Intrinsics. Which means, they need to be good at shooting the weapons onboard. Once players play enough Railjack missions, they will be able to level up in their intrinsic rankings from the intrinsic options from the Profile Menu.
Players can find the forward artillery weapon right behind the pilot at the very front of the ship. Head over to the gun and engage with it to jump inside the forward artillery seat. Once inside, players will see a movable reticle that will help them with their aiming skills. The forward artillery weapon takes a while to charge but will fire only if it is released.
Forward Thinking Challenge in Warframe
To complete the Forward Thinking Challenge, players must first take out a crew ship. This can be easily by taking on an early Skirmish mission from Earth Proxima. The fighters onboard are relatively easy to defeat, and a single shot from the forward artillery weapon will kill the crewships.
As with all weapons, the forward artillery weapon requires ammo. If players do not have sufficient ammo, more can be made using the forge. The forge can be found at the back of the ship. It is known as ‘Dome Charge.’
Using the weapon for the first time may seem difficult due to bright beams that glow during charging. Since the crewships are in highlight, aiming the weapon should be manageable.
